This term we have been learning about colours. Each week we focused on a new colour. The children have found colour items at home to bring in and show at `Special Box` time , completed colour matching games on the interactive board and reading the story Rainbow Fish.

The children really enjoyed mixing colours together, performing magic whilst predicting what might happen.

We have been busy making marks in nursery this week. We notice and encourage the marks children make and the meanings that they give to them .

Last week we had clay in the malleable area of nursery.

When the children play with clay and other malleable materials they experience a variety of textures and smell. They discover how materials respond, whilst experimenting with shape and form.

Exploring clay can also be very relaxing helping children to release their emotional energy. What good fun we had!!
